Join us for the astonishing history of the vision, courage, and tenacity demonstrated to win the 72 year battle for women’s political, social, and legal equality, as presented by actor and historian Annette Baldwin.  Learn of the conditions governing women’s lives in the 19th century and what provoked them into organization and revolution for the right to vote. As the story unfolds you will hear moving passages from the speeches of Lucretia Mott, Susan B. Anthony, Alice Paul and more. At the conclusion of this visual journey, Annette portrays the League of Women Voters founder Carrie Chapman. Time for questions and discussion will be provided after the program.

This is a virtual visual journey that will be presented via Zoom. Register now and you will receive a link to join the presentation about an hour before the event begins.

This free event is brought to you by the League of Women Voters, PEO Chapter CW, and the La Grange Area Historical Society.  Donations are appreciated.
