The La Grange Area Historical Society has teamed up with fourteensixteen restaurant for the “Cooler in La Grange” promotion sponsored by the LGBA. Our cooler is painted with a Blind Pig theme, and we invite you to come to fourteensixteen on August 1st to celebrate with us!  Members are encouraged to bring their friends and family and listen to local history expert John Burns as he reveals the story of the Blind Pig of La Grange Park, and its impact on the origins of our community.

What’s a Blind Pig? It is a little known part of La Grange area history, and now it’s also a signature cocktail created by the team at fourteensixteen! It will remain on the menu throughout the summer cooler promotion, and 50% of the proceeds from sales of the cocktail will benefit the Historical Society.  Join us on August 1st at 6:00 pm, grab a Blind Pig cocktail, and stick around ’til 7:00 to hear John Burns speak about a notorious bootlegger named Pete!  We’ll see you there to toast an amazing summer and some of the unique history of our community!
