La Grange Birthday Party at Cossitt School

On the morning of June 3rd, the sixth graders at Cossitt School met to celebrate the 130th birthday of the Village of La Grange. The La Grange Area Historical Society was invited to participate by the officials of the Village of La Grange.

The President of the La Grange Village Board, Liz Asperger, spoke briefly. Mrs. Kate Rymsza, a great-great-great-granddaughter of Franklin D. Cossitt, for whom the school is named, also spoke. Mrs. Rymsza challenged the students to become a part of the history of La Grange by contributing to the Historical Society archives.
